HOPE Teams

We deliver HOPE.
The Sulzbacher Center’s Homeless Outreach Project Expansion Teams, known as HOPE Teams, increase access to health care, emergency shelter and many other services for homeless men, women and families living on the streets of Jacksonville. Our downtown and beaches HOPE Teams reach out to and build relationships with people in need. They work to restore them mentally, physically and socially back into the community. Our HOPE Teams are particularly effective in providing care to homeless men and women who suffer from serious mental illness. This vulnerable and isolated segment of the homeless population is most responsive to intense outreach by trained professionals such as our Director of Behavioral Health, Richard Christensen, MD.

Through the HOPE Teams, homeless men, women and children can access our seamless, integrated system of shelter, meals, emergency clothing, medical, dental and mental health care, substance-abuse treatment, crisis intervention, case management and much more.

If you know someone who is living on the street and needs help immediately please call our HOPE team at (904) 568-8343.
