Annual Report

Dear Friends,

The Sulzbacher Center’s last fiscal year found us providing a record level of service to homeless people and others in hardship in our community. Economic downturns are especially hard on people on the bottom rung of the ladder as entry level jobs dry up and assistance resources are strained by increased demand. Although economic indicators suggest the economy and nonprofit donations are recovering, this past year the Sulzbacher Center continued to face financial challenges. However, thanks to donors like you, we were able to overcome our most urgent ones, pressing on to provide a safety net of shelter, meals, quality medical care, career development opportunities and other uplifting services, reinforced by aftercare to residents moving out of the shelter into self-sufficiency and homes of their own. Yet, as the record level of service provided by our Center in FY 2013-14 indicates, there is still much work to be done. Thank you again for your invaluable support. We hope you will continue to partner with us as we work together providing opportunities and programs that restore once broken lives.
